Huawei makes great products, but due to the ongoing legal issues with the US and its allies, Huawei tends to typically launch products in regions that are more friendly towards them, and obviously its own country of China.
This means that for the rest of us, there will be one less option in the market, whether it’s a phone, tablet, laptop, or accessories. That being said, if you’re keen on picking up a new pair of true wireless earbuds, you might be interested to learn that Huawei will be releasing its FreeBuds 5 earbuds in more international markets such as the UK and Europe.
For those who are hearing about the FreeBuds 5 for the first time, these are a pair of true wireless earbuds that feature a rather interesting and unique design, which Huawei calls a “waterdrop design”. Huawei claims to have experimented with the design a lot, which has resulted in this look that they say will rest in your ears comfortably.
The earbuds themselves feature 11mm dual magnetic circuit dynamic drivers, as well as a total of three microphones that help with its hybrid ANC capabilities. There is also triple adaptive EQ, along with support for Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and L2HC. The earbuds are also rated to run for up to 5 hours per charge, and its charging case will extend the total time of up to 30 hours.
The Huawei FreeBuds 5 will be available for purchase come 17th of April and will be priced at €159/£140.
