Vivo’s first flip phone could be close to launch

0

Vivo is no stranger to foldable phones, but the company’s foldables have largely followed Samsung’s style of foldables where it is a phone-tablet hybrid. Recently, we heard rumors that Vivo could now expand to flippable phones, and it now looks like the launch of the device could be close at hand.

This is according to a tweet by SnoopyTech who claims that the Vivo X Fold is close to launch as it has recently been Google Play Certified. It is unclear when the handset is expected to make its debut, but if the tweet is accurate, hopefully we will have more details in the coming weeks.

At the moment not much is known about the Vivo X Flip. The last we heard, the handset was spotted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is admittedly a little disappointing for a phone launching in 2023, but hopefully the use of last year’s chipset means that the price will be cheaper.

In any case, we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information on the device’s launch, so be sure to check back with us in the coming weeks if you’d like to learn more about Vivo’s next foldable smartphone!
