These days, more smartphone manufacturers are opting to not include chargers with their phones, citing “sustainability” as one of the reasons (even though it feels more like greed). So, if you are looking for a new charging brick for your phone or laptop, it might be time to check out some alternatives in the form of GaN chargers.
For those unfamiliar, GaN chargers are gaining popularity due to their size, where they are smaller than a lot of the charging bricks you get with phones and laptops. This is due to the use of gallium nitride, versus more traditional chargers that use silicon components. This allows these chargers to sport a smaller footprint, plus they are also more heat efficient and thus safer.
