Samsung’s mission to provide more timely updates for its devices has so far been commendable, with the manufacturer launching a new monthly patch for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. The patch is now live for UK variants of the Exynos variant Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which was originally launched back in 2019.
With that said, it’s recommended for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite users in other regions to check the availability of the update for their respective devices. The update comes with version number P610XXS2EVJ2 and P610OXM2EVI1, and weighs in at around 149MB. It brings some new fixes to security, as well as improvements for stability, performance, and bug fixes.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched a “refreshed” version of the Tab S6 Lite. Instead of an Exynos chipset, however, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G powers the tablet, which should provide better performance. While the Exynos version of the tablet wasn’t exactly terrible, it wasn’t particularly fast, especially when compared to similarly-priced tablets from competing brands like Xiaomi and Apple. In terms of display size, design, battery, and other specs, there are no changes to the newer variant of the S6 Lite.
To check if your device can download the newest update, simply head into Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check if your device is eligible for the latest system update.
