The Pixel 7 has set a new record for Google

0

It might have taken Google a few generations of Pixel phones to get things right, and it looks like the company’s efforts and perseverance has paid off. As reported by the Motley Fool, during Google’s Q3 2022 earnings call, the company has revealed just how well the Pixel 7 has done so far.

Apparently the Pixel 7 has managed to help Google achieve the highest selling week for its Pixel lineup. This is according to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai who was quoted as saying, “We recently had our highest selling week ever for Pixel, and I’m really proud of the positive reviews so far.”

Prior to this, Google’s Pixel 6 was claimed by the company as being its fastest selling Pixel phone ever, and it’s not hard to see why. The Pixel 6 was the first phone from Google to feature the use of the company’s own custom Tensor chipset, so we imagine that many fans of Google might have flocked over to the Pixel 6 to see what all the fuss is about.

As for the Pixel 7, Google improved on the Tensor which could have attracted those who weren’t willing to be early adopters, plus all the various improvements Google made to the phone’s cameras probably helped a lot as well. We’re not sure if at the end of the day, the Pixel 7 could end up outselling the Pixel 6 series, but for now, it looks like it’s off to a great start.
