Meet the New Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 3 and HYPERBOOM

0

We recently had a chance to attend a product showcase at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere here in London, courtesy of Logitech. The multi-national award-winning tech brand unveiled some of its latest products in the form of the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3, its newest portable audio speaker, as well as a new and updated variant of the Hyperboom, a massive audio powerhouse.

With that said, we got to go up close and personal with the newest tech on the block and go hands-on with their features as well. Check them out below!

UE WONDERBOOM 3

Sporting a tried-and-tested design as seen on its predecessors, the UE Wonderboom 3 comes with a Bluetooth connectivity range of 40 meters (or around 130 feet), 14 hours of battery life, and 360° sound with full-stereo sound. Additionally, you can pair up to two additional Wonderboom speakers for a more powerful listening experience.

In terms of design, it comes with an IP67 rating to protect it from dust, water, and such. It also floats, making it ideal for music sessions at the swimming pool or beach. The Wonderboom 3 also incorporates recycled polyester fabric into its design, and a minimum of certified 31% post-consumer recycled plastic, according to Logitech. As far as portable speakers go, it was lightweight during handling, and the textured styling does feel nice and sturdy.

UE HYPERBOOM

Up next we have the UE Hyperboom, which is one of the larger offerings from Ultimate Ears. While not an entirely new product (it was launched a while back), Logitech also announced a new white variant of the speaker, which was only previously available in a single black model.

As far as functionality is concerned, the Hyperboom is packed with a ton of features. The speaker offers a wide dynamic range for powerful and rich sound quality, with a rechargeable battery that can last up to 24 hours, and comes with support for Bluetooth audio input, as well as a 3.5mm auxiliary port and optical audio. It’s also got support for reverse charging, so you can top-up your phone’s battery with the USB charge-out port on the speaker. It’s also got a solid build and design, with an IPX4 rating to keep it safe from splashes and accidental spills.

Additionally, it also supports connectivity with the Ultimate Ears BOOM app for mobile devices, which allows you to create music playlists and comes with wireless controls for the speaker. The app also has a “PartyUP” feature that lets you pair the Hyperboom with other Boom, Megaboom, and Hyperboom speakers.

PRICING & AVAILABILITY

In terms of availability, both speakers will be sold in several regions worldwide. The UE Wonderboom 3 will come in four colors which include gray, black, pink, and blue, and will be available to consumers in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific in August 2022 and in Latin America in January 2023 for a retail price of $99.99. Meanwhile, the white Hyperboom variant will be available in September 2022 in select markets for around $449.99.
