Samsung Launches “Odyssey Ark” Gaming Monitor

0

Samsung finally took the wraps off its latest product (in addition to its new Galaxy Z Foldables), the Odyssey Ark. According to the South Korean Electronics giant, the Odyssey Ark is “the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved gaming screen,” and as such, comes with a ton of high-end features. First shown at CES 2022 earlier this year, the monitor features a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, as well as a new “Cockpit Mode.” Samsung also includes a controller that it calls the “Ark Dial” for use with the monitor.

The Odyssey Ark also comes with a 4K resolution and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, to provide accurate on-screen movement with zero lag. Additionally, the monitor will also support Samsung’s Gaming Hub, which lets users stream games from cloud service like Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Google Stadia, Utomik and Amazon Luna.

Samsung has also included a “Game Bar” feature, which is essentially a tool that allows users to “view their gaming status and control important settings without ever needing to leave the game screen.” Game Bar will let you check FPS count, HDR status, as well as adjust settings like screen ratio, response time and Game Picture mode.

Pre-orders are now available for the Odyssey Ark.
