Samsung has finally unveiled its newest addition to its line-up of foldable Android phones with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The new phone offers some new improvements, and while it does resemble its older brethren, it trims down its size a bit. With that said, it comes at a considerable price, starting at $1,799.99 for base 256GB model. While the phone doesn’t ship out until later this August, it sure doesn’t hurt to prepare some protection for your shiny new foldable.

If you’re in the mood for something on the thinner side of things, Spigen’s Air Skin case provides a tough polycarbonate layer that’s form-fitted and designed to keep scratches and scuffs away from your shiny Z Fold 4. It’s made of a stiff material, so the case won’t bend once it’s attached to your phone. It also lets you see the design on your phone, which we have to admit is one of the highlights of owning a foldable Samsung device.

This leather case from Donwell not only provides hefty protection to the Z fold 4, but also comes with an array of slots for ATM cards, IDs, and such. The case is made from high-quality PU leather, and even comes with a built-in kickstand. While a majority of the case is made from leather, the phone clips onto a hard polycarbonate shell to keep it nice and snug.
Spigen Tough Armor
Spigen’s Tough Armor case has definitely been one of the brand’s most popular signature cases. The case is built from a combination of flexible TPU and tough polycarbonate to provide enough protection to keep your Z Fold 4 from most drops and damage. There’s also a nicely-raised lip around the front display to keep it away from external elements. It does add a bit of weight and thickness to the phone though, which is something to take into consideration.
Spigen Slim Armor Pro
Our final Spigen entry on this list, the Slim Armor Pro offers a different approach to heavy-duty protection for the Z Fold 4. Similar to the Tough Armor case, it comes with a polycarbonate and TPU design, although one major design difference is the addition of foam inserts inside the case, which protect your phone and keep it safely cushioned from accidental impact.
Silent Pocket Sleeve
If you’re after the most minimalist protection possible, then this leather sleeve from Silent Pocket might be more of what you’re looking for. Simple and minimalist, it’s designed to keep your phone safe against unwanted radio frequencies and RFID, for example (similar to some wallet designs). It’s also straightforward to use, as there’s no installation required, and you get to handle your phone without any additional bulk or weight.
