Nokia-branded Headset Spotted on FCC

0

Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia is no stranger to developing and tapping into accessories beyond its usual array of smartphones and cellular phones. The brand occasionally sells audio gear such as wireless earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and such, and it seems that it’s gearing up to release a new entry soon.

New information has been spotted online by way of an FCC listing, which shows a headset with the product name “Nokia CB-301,” also known as the “Comm Band Pro.” Several photos of the product were also included with the listing, which show the headset from various angles, and even some teardown photos. Based on the design, the headset will be geared towards gaming (or video calls) due to the comm band on one of the earcups.

Other features of the headset include USB-C compatibility, video mode, low-latency mode, and gaming mode. There’s also a 400 mAh battery inside which should be more than enough for most usage scenarios.

In related Nokia news, the company has ended its partnership with camera brand Zeiss, with the deal between the two companies coming to an end back in 2021. Both Nokia and Zeiss agreeing not to prolong the collaborative effort, although it’s unclear at the moment if there is a new partnership in the works.
