Motorola continues to tease the Razr 2022

0

We have been hearing for a while the rumors that suggest that for the 2022 Razr smartphone, Motorola could be upgrading the front, outer display of the foldable phone. The company actually confirmed it last week where they said that the display was actually big enough to play some games.

Now in a new post on Weibo, Motorola continues to tease the smartphone with a new image showing off the front display of the handset. While Motorola does not mention how big the outer display will be, it seems that it will be big enough where users can host proper video calls with it, play music and have cover art shown properly, as well as watch videos.

In the past, Motorola and Samsung had used the outer display of their foldable flip phones more as a way to display notifications and show the time. While it wasn’t big enough to be truly useful, it was functional and that’s all we can really ask for. Having a larger display does open it up to more possibilities, but we also have to wonder if a larger display means it will consume more battery.

In any case, the Motorola Razr 2022 will be officially unveiled on the 2nd of August, so we should have all the details then. Samsung is expected to follow up with the Galaxy Z Flip 4 on the 10th, so it looks like both phones will be competing with each other.
