Usually when it comes to tablets with larger displays, they can be expensive, like Apple’s iPad Pro, for example. But if you want a tablet with a large display that won’t break the bank, then you might be interested to learn that Honor has announced its latest tablet in the form of the Honor Pad 8.
The Honor Pad 8 is honestly quite unremarkable as far as tablets are concerned, but one of its draws is that it features a large 12-inch display with a 2000×1200 resolution, and combine that with its asking price of around $200, it’s actually quite a steal. It would make for a good tablet for surfing the web, reading, or watching videos.
Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset can be found, which isn’t the most impressive chipset from Qualcomm, but more than capable of getting the job done. It will also be offered in RAM configurations of 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB, and all will come with 128GB of internal storage but it is unclear if this can be expanded via a microSD card.
The tablet also features a 5MP shooter on the back and a 5MP shooter on the front, which once again is less than impressive, but should be good enough for regular day-to-day use. The Honor Pad 8 will also be packing a 7,250mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging. We’re not sure if there are plans to launch it outside of China yet so maybe don’t get your hopes up at getting your hands on one just yet.
