Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Phones Receive July 2022 Update

0

A new update has finally arrived for carrier-locked versions of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 series handsets, which features the latest July 2022 software patch. The update is now available for users in the United States and brings some fixes for security and stability issues.

The new update comes with software version number N98xU1UES2FVED, and follows the software patch released for international variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

Launched back in 2020, the Note 20 series feature high-end specs and run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 5G+ chipset (with the Exynos 990 version in other countries). In our original review of the Note 20 Ultra, we described it as a phone that “that checks practically every box imaginable,” although the added features and expensive might not be a necessity for some users.

With the launch of this year’s Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra however, the “Note” line has essentially been ended (at least by name), as the new “S” variant comes with high-end specs, as well as a built-in S-Pen accessory and software features which were formerly exclusive to the Galaxy Note product series.

To check if your phone can download the newest update, simply head into your “Settings” app, head over to “Software Update” and tap “Download and Install.”
