Earlier this year, OnePlus made an interesting choice by announcing the OnePlus 10 Pro. Usually when it comes to smartphones, many companies offer a base model followed by a “Pro” (or Plus, or Ultra) variant with better features, so it did raise a few eyebrows when OnePlus opted to go straight to Pro without a base model.
We have been hearing that the company is planning on announcing a OnePlus 10 model, and now according to a tweet by @OnLeaks, he is claiming that the upcoming phone could actually have an advantage of its Pro sibling in the form of faster charging.
In a report with Digit, they are claiming that the upcoming phone is expected to feature a 4,800mAh battery. This is slightly smaller than the 5,000mAh battery found in the OnePlus 10 Pro, but apparently it will also feature 150W charging. This is almost double that of the OnePlus 10 Pro which has 80W charging.
This means that despite the smaller battery, the OnePlus 10 will be able to make up for it by charging a lot faster. There is currently no word on when the OnePlus 10 will launch. OnePlus is hosting an event next week but it has been suggested that the event will focus on the company’s budget offerings like the OnePlus 10R, but hopefully the company might have something to share then.
