Leaked Realme C31 Budget Phone looks pretty compelling

0

These new entry-level phones just keep on coming – Chinese phone brand Realme is apparently preparing to launch a rather affordable handset, called the “Realme C31.” While nothing impressive, the Realme C31 is the latest in a long line of budget Android handsets which have seen their fair share of popularity with users in developing nations, where phones with decent specs-to-price ratios are all the rage, courtesy of brands like Realme, Xiaomi, and a few others.

An online post lists several key specs of the device, which include a 6.5-inch display with a 720 x 1600 resolution, surrounded by a polycarbonate chassis. The display also comes with a teardrop notch for the selfie camera. The rest of the cameras are on the back, which will feature a triple-camera setup. Some images posted on Twitter by user SnoopyTech feature the device in different color configurations.

Powering the Realme C31 is a UNISOC T612 chipset. UNISOC processors are mostly used on low-end smartphones and tablets, so the inclusion of this one inside the C31 is not really surprising. The processor comes alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, although it’s said that a 4GB + 64GB configuration will also be offered as well. The Realme C31 will supposedly pack a 5000 mAh battery, which can be charged via Micro-USB, adding to the budget phone credentials of the device.

Other features on the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for expandable microSD storage. Given the specs that we’ve mentioned above, the C31 is certainly bound for budget territory, so users after some Poco-level quality will definitely have to look elsewhere. If you really must have a Realme-branded device, however, then their GT and Narzo series smartphones are much better devices with more impressive display quality and performance speeds, although their availability in Western regions might be a bit limited.
