Earlier this month, Samsung ran into a few different issues when it started rolling out the One UI 4 (based on Android 12) update to Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 owners. Some of the problems included devices ending up being soft-bricked after the update arrived, forcing Samsung to pause the rollout.
According to XDA Developers via a post on the Samsung community forums, Samsung seems to have worked out all of the kinks, as there’s a new build of the One UI 4 stable version. This release features a build number of BUL4, lining up with the most recent beta release, but Samsung has yet to make any type of official announcement.
As expected, this release is only taking place in South Korea, Samsung’s home country, but we could end up seeing the final version make its way here in the U.S. in the coming weeks. After Samsung began rolling out One UI 4 and Android 12 to Galaxy S21 owners, the company published a timeline with the Flip 3 and Fold 3 set to receive the final version before the end of the year.
Now, a little past the halfway point of the month, it seems that Samsung is back on track and could end up meeting its self-imposed deadline. Let’s just hope that there aren’t any more crazy bugs that halt the process and the update starts to become available in other regions.
