Motorola’s next phone will be a true flagship powered by the Snapdragon 888+

0

Earlier today, Motorola announced yet another budget-minded device in the Moto G Power (2022), making use of the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset. Some of us have been wondering if the company would ever delve back into the world of a true flagship device, and it seems that we could end up seeing just that.

Over the past few days, Motorola has been teasing a new device that will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888+ chipset. This is Qualcomm’s current flagship processor, although the Snapdragon 898 might be right around the corner. Nevertheless, this unnamed Motorola handset continues to be teased across social media. But, instead of giving everyone a better idea as to when it will arrive, these promotional videos only say “coming soon”.

Along with highlighting the use of a flagship processor, the videos also suggest that Motorola will be putting a focus on the cameras, as the device will provide an “incredible photography experience.” It’s possible that this smartphone could be the Moto G200, which has recently appeared in some new renders, offering a sleek design with a triple rear camera setup. But even with the leaked renders, there’s no solid confirmation that the phone being teased by Motorola will, in fact, be the Moto G200.

There seems to be quite a bit of speculation at the moment for the potential launch of a few different devices, including the aforementioned G200. Motorola could also be associated with the rumored and updated Motorola Edge lineup, potentially being called the Edge 30 Ultra.

Only time will tell what this device will actually bring to the table, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Motorola can deliver. It will definitely be refreshing to see another flagship hit the Android market that doesn’t come from Samsung or OnePlus here in the States.
