Ever since pre-orders went “live” at 1 p.m., it’s been quite a show for those who wanted to be one of the first to get their hands on the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro. In addition to seeing an array of errors and not being able to check out, when everything appeared to back to normal, you might have been met with a surprising message. “This model is out of stock”.
That’s because Google is quickly running out of stock for its Pixel 6 Pro, leaving only the base 128GB Stormy Black model as the only option that is currently available. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise given all of the problems that we’ve been seeing since the announcement event started. However, it’s still frustrating if you had the device in your cart, only to be met with it being removed after the fact.
All hope is not lost, as it appears that you can still purchase the Pixel 6 Pro in either 128GB or 256GB from Google Fi. It will initially be attached to your Google Fi account, but you’ll still be able to use it with your preferred carrier of choice.
Other than that, we’re all just left scratching our heads and waiting for the pre-orders to go live across other retailers. At the time of this writing, the devices are only available from Google and Google Fi, with Best Buy showing us a “Coming Soon” button instead of a pre-order one.
