When you think of budget smartphones, you think of smartphones that can get the bare minimum done with bare minimum results. For the most part this is true, and it’s not a bad thing because not everyone can afford or wants to pay $1,000 for a flagship smartphone.
But who says that budget phones can’t also be packed with features that make them a value for money purchase, right?
That’s what Samsung seems to be hoping for as the company has seemingly launched its new budget phone, the Galaxy M52 5G, over in Europe where based on the specs and features, it actually sounds like a pretty great device for those who are shopping on a slightly tighter budget.
The specs and features of the phone include a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution (2400×1080), an Infinity-O cutout for the front-facing camera, a 120Hz refresh rate, and under the hood, we’re looking at the use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The phone also features the use of a triple camera setup on the back which consists of a 64MP main shooter, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. There is also a 5,000mAh battery and to top it all off, support for 5G.
One thing to note is that the phone does seem to lack a 3.5mm headphone jack, so keep that in mind if you’re still using wired headphones.
Samsung has yet to reveal the official price of the phone, but as the handset is part of the M-series which tends to lean towards low-mid range, we expect the Galaxy M52 5G shouldn’t be too expensive.
