Nokia teases a rugged smartphone that will launch July 27

0

Remember back in the day the Nokia 3310 was the most popular phone around? Not only did it have amazing battery life, but the fact that it was ridiculously durable helped cement the phone’s legendary status even today. Could Nokia be looking to bring back a classic? Probably not, but they do have a new rugged phone in the works.

This is according to a tweet by the Nokia Mobile account where come 27th of July, they will be officially launching a brand new rugged smartphone. The company makes a bold proclamation on the page claiming that this phone will not need a case, although it remains to be seen whether or not this is true.

Now, in case you forgot, Nokia did kind of revive the 3310 back in 2017, although it seems unlikely that this will be that case, or could it? Many have actually been hoping for Nokia to launch a new flagship, although last we heard, that might happen in November, so there’s a good chance that this new rugged phone won’t be it, but it could still be worth keeping an eye out for if you need a new rugged handset.

No word on specs yet but we’ll probably learn more about it in the next couple of weeks, so check back with us again on the 27th of July for all the details!
