AT&T and Cricket Wireless introduce new 100GB prepaid plan for just $55

0

Now’s a great time to jump on the AT&T or Cricket Wireless bandwagon, especially if you’ve been in the market for a new prepaid plan. AT&T has announced a new Prepaid Portfolio plan offering 100GB of data for just $55 per month, which includes access to AT&T’s 5G network (if your device is compatible).

Meanwhile, Cricket Wireless has announced a similar plan with its 100GB Data Only plan. For just $55 per month, Cricket Wireless subscribers will also receive up to 100GB of data per month, which also provides access to Cricket’s somewhat-limited 5G network.

This is great if you’re looking to switch carriers, but the real story here is for those who are already subscribed to either of these plans. Starting with the next bill, AT&T customers who are currently subscribed to the 40GB of plan, which currently is priced at $75 per month, will automatically be upgraded to this new 100GB plan. For just $55 per month, you’ll now be saving $20 per month moving foward.

Cricket Wireless prepaid subscribers are seeing the same treatment, as the MVNO’s old 100GB plan was priced at $90 per month. With this new deal you’ll be saving a whopping $45 every month, while receiving the same amount of data and everything else included in the older plans.

The great thing about either AT&T or Cricket Wireless is that you can take your current unlocked device, provided that its compatible with the GSM network. That way, you won’t have to worry about paying outright for another phone, or you could use your current device to trade in and get something like the new Galaxy A52 5G or even the Pixel 4a 5G and get the fastest speeds that AT&T has to offer.
