T-Mobile’s new Magenta MAX 5G plan offers unlimited data with no throttling

0

Quite a number of carriers offer their customers “unlimited” data plans, but these plans aren’t truly unlimited. The reality is that there is a soft cap imposed on these plans where after you hit a certain threshold, you will be throttled. The threshold is usually quite high and is aimed more at preventing people from abusing their data.

If you want a plan that’s truly unlimited, then you might be interested to learn that T-Mobile has recently launched a new plan called Magenta MAX. According to T-Mobile, they claim that this plan will offer customers unlimited data and apparently there will be no throttling, so you can use it to your heart’s extent. T-Mobile’s CEO Mike Sievert said:

“We just joined forces with Sprint, and we’re already America’s 5G coverage and speed leader. Magenta MAX is just a first taste of what our network capacity allows us to do! When you’re a heavy data user with a super-fast 5G smartphone, you don’t want to be hit with speed bumps. It’s like having a Ferrari and being forced to drive it in the school zone. Well, now it’s time to open ‘er up on the wide-open magenta road! And we’re just getting started. Buckle up!”

The plan, priced at $57 per line, will also include 40GB of mobile hotspot data, unlimited streaming at 4K, and includes a subscription to Netflix, Gogo In-Flight WiFi, and more. It sounds like a pretty good deal and might be worth checking out if you’re looking for a new carrier.
