Xiaomi’s new Mi Watch offers impressive battery life

0

If there was ever one feature of smartwatches that took me a while to wrap my head around, was the constant need to charge it. After all, traditional watches could run on a single battery for years on end before needing a change, so the idea of a smartwatch that had to be charged everyday or every other day seemed rather inconvenient.

If you share a similar sentiment, then perhaps you might want to take a look at Xiaomi’s latest wearable in the Mi Watch. This is a smartwatch that the company is claiming will offer up to 16 days of battery life on a single charge, meaning that you’d only need to charge it about twice a month, give or take.

The Mi Watch features a rather simple and clean-looking design, perfect if you’re after something that’s a little understated. It comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and features a 2.5D tempered glass cover with anti-fingerprint coating. There is a built-in PPG heart rate sensor that can also monitor SpO2 levels, a geomagnetic sensor, air pressure sensor, and there is also built-in GPS.

Xiaomi has also opted to include a dedicated sports button that will be able to launch 117 different fitness modes, meaning that you should be able to find most activities. Given that the watch can last 16 days on a single charge, it will also make it ideal for sleep tracking. It can also monitor things like your stress levels and energy levels if you want to keep track of your overall health.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch will be priced at a very affordable EUR 99 and will be available for purchase soon.
