2020 Motorola Razr leaked photos hint at slight design update

0

Last year, Motorola launched their first foldable smartphone in the Motorola Razr. If the name sounds familiar, it is because it is based on Motorola’s iconic Razr feature phone from way back in the day, except that it has been updated with a new look and a new foldable screen in the middle.

In a photo posted by Evan Blass, it seems that Motorola is working on the successor to their 2019 model. Right off the bat, if you think that the 2020 model looks like its predecessor, you wouldn’t be wrong. For the most part, both the 2019 and 2020 models look almost identical, but there are some slight differences.

Assuming that the photo we are looking at is accurate, it appears that Motorola could have relocated the fingerprint scanner of the phone. Thanks to the relocation, the chin of the phone is now smaller and less glaring. Given that this is the only angle we have, we’re not sure where the fingerprint scanner has been placed, but there is a chance that it could now be embedded in the display.

Apart from that, the phone is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which will allow Motorola to keep the price relatively low while still offering 5G connectivity. This seems to contradict an earlier report which claimed that the 5G version of the Razr might not be launching this year.

Take this leak with a grain of salt, but hopefully Motorola will have something official to announce soon.
