Google I/O 2020 was canceled a while back due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Google isn’t planning a full online replacement for the developer conference, but they will be holding a special event to unveil the latest version of Android.

The Android 11 Best Launch Show is scheduled for June 3 and will be streamed directly to you so that you can take in all the latest new features the company has planned for Android from the comfort of your own home. The teaser trailer for the Android 11 Best Launch Show is narrated by George Takei and hints at the upcoming launch of the Pixel 4a as well.

In addition to showing off the new features the company is planning to bake into Android 11, Google will be holding Q&A, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio, and Google Play and other sessions on the same date.

It certainly won’t be as exciting as a traditional Google I/O event, but we’re glad to see the company is on track with its next version of Android.
