Recently, Huawei took the wraps off their brand new foldable smartphone in the form of the Huawei Mate Xs. For those wondering what about the company’s other flagship smartphones, not to worry because those will be coming soon. This was confirmed by Huawei themselves at the event in Barcelona.
According to Huawei, the P40 series will be officially announced at a separate event that will be held in Paris on the 26th of March, about a month away from now. With the launch of the P40 series, it will mark the second time a Huawei flagship will not be launching with Google Play Services on board.
The first was with the Mate 30 series back in 2019, and based on the current climate, it does not look like the P40 series will either. Huawei is expected to offer up alternate services and apps to replace the ones Google includes, but there is no doubt that this will be a huge thing that consumers will need to consider if they are thinking about getting the P40 phones.
Some of the rumored specs we can expect from the phones include 10x optical zoom cameras. There was also talk about the Pro variant getting a periscope camera. Once, there was mention of the possibility of using graphene batteries. In any case, we’ll have to wait and see what Huawei has in store for us, so check back with us next month for the official details.
