First 10 things every Huawei P30 Pro owner should do

0

Huawei has kicked off 2019 as strong as it finished 2018 with the launch of the Huawei P30 Pro, which takes what made the Mate 20 Pro such a great device and steps things up a notch. The P30 Pro has already retaken the crown on DxOMark and brings Android Pie and EMUI 9 goodness to the fold. The device is an absolute powerhouse and Huawei packs a ton of features that could be overwhelming when it comes to setting up your device. We take a look at the first ten things to do when unwrapping your brand new Huawei P30 Pro.

The P30 Pro has amazing battery life and that is in part thanks to Huawei’s aggressive background resource management. Unfortunately, a casualty of this appears to be the suppression of notifications since the apps cannot self-launch in the background as designed. Turning off automatic app management will help improve this, but battery life will take a small hit.

  • Go to Settings > Battery > App Launch
  • Uncheck Manage all automatically
  • You can control and select different options for apps that you’d prefer to not be able to run in the background.
  • Experiment with these settings to find the sweet spot.
