In all the Pixel 3 camera comparisons we’ve posted, Google’s 2018 flagship smartphone has been able to best the competition. In all those comparisons, the Pixel 3 was matched up against other high-end smartphones which also featured high-end prices, so we decided to switch things up a bit with this latest one.
The Pocophone F1 is an interesting device. It’s Xiaomi’s answer to OnePlus, featuring high-end specs, but at a bargain basement price. In fact, the Pocophone F1 sell for about $350, making it substantially cheaper than the latest OnePlus 6T. But while the device comes with a Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM, Xiaomi most likely tried saving money by including cheaper camera sensors. The device is equipped with a 12 MP, f/1.9,
and 5 MP, f/2.0 depth sensor for its main camera and a single 20 MP, f/2.0 front-facing camera.
While this phone’s main competitor is the OnePlus 6T, we wanted to see how it compares to the Pixel 3 which we think has one of the best camera setups of any smartphone. Take a look at the results in the video and image gallery below. Images from the Pixel 3 are on the left and those of the Pocophone F1 are on the right. Let us know what you think and which device you’d rather take pictures with.
