Samsung Galaxy S8’s Oreo update is finally rolling out, and it’s actually CRAP

0

It’s a little later than we’d like, but the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are finally receiving their upgrades to Android 8.0 Oreo. The rollout is hitting unlocked handsets in Europe first, starting with the fine folks in Germany.

As Samsung mentioned before, those who were in on the beta will get it first, while those still on a stable Nougat build will only have to wait a day. The update size will also be smaller for those in the beta, with it coming in at just 487MB.

As for timing in other regions, that’s yet to be determined. We imagine any region that enjoyed an official beta test will be the first to get rolling, though others may have a while longer to suffer. In the meantime, we’re going to commence laughing our asses off at the funniest build version number we’ve ever seen, as it’s showing up as G955XXU1CRAP
