Honor 9 Lite begins making waves in Europe for just £199

It’s been a busy couple of months for Huawei and it’s sub-brand, Honor. The company recently launched the Honor 9 lineup back in December, but is now bringing those devices to more and more markets. More specifically, Honor has announced that the Honor 9 Lite will now be available across Western Europe.

As a refresher, the Honor 9 Lite features a 5.65-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Powering the device is the Huawei Kirin 659 chipset, which has been coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

Other than the FullView display, the big “claim to fame” for the Honor 9 Lite is the quad-camera system. This means that there is both a 13MP and 2MP camera system mounted on the front and rear of the device.

The only possible downside for those considering the Honor 9 Lite is the inclusion of microUSB for charging, instead of USB Type-C. Other than that, the device features Android Oreo out of the box thanks to the EMUI 8.0 software overlay and a respectable 3,000mAh battery.

Pricing for the Honor 9 Lite begins at £199 and the device will be offered in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, and Glacier Gray. Honor will begin selling the device on February 9th at various retailers across Europe.

Let us know what you think about this device and if you’re interested to see how it stands up to other budget options such as the Moto Z2 Play.
