The Razer Phone was officially announced last November with an insane display and a pretty beefy battery. Razer is already working on the next iteration and it should be coming just a bit before the one year anniversary. A new rumor claims the Razer Phone 2 will be released in September. While this isn’t exactly a lofty claim, it should be noted that this is just a rumor.
The more interesting part of the information includes Project Linda, which was one of the most exciting things from CES. Project Linda was a prototype that turns the Razer Phone into a laptop. The phone docks into the device and acts as the touchpad. The concept is very cool, but prototypes don’t always see the light of day.
According to the rumor, Project Linda will launch alongside the Razer Phone 2. If this is true it indicates that the Razer Phone 2 will have the same body as the original Razer Phone. That would be necessary for both generations of the Razer Phone to dock into the device. It’s still very early for the Razer Phone 2, so we’ll keep out eyes open for more information.\
