While many folks are focused on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and LG G7, there are other OEM’s that are getting ready to unveil their flagships. One such company is HTC, which has fallen on some hard times and will be looking to consolidate the number of devices released during the course of the year.
However, despite all of the shortcomings from HTC, the company is still working on a new flagship for 2018 with the HTC U12. There hasn’t been much information shared about this upcoming device, other than the fact that a new render of the front has been leaked.
There’s really not much to go off of here, other than the fact that HTC is likely going to be moving to a bezel-less design, while the power button and volume rocker are found on the right-hand side. Looking at the bottom, you can see a slight cutout for the charging port, which is likely to be USB Type-C.
Other than that, we don’t really have any idea as to what HTC will be bringing to the tablet but rumors claim that the display will carry a 4K resolution and won’t have bezels on three of the four sides. Other rumors suggest that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and a dual-camera system mounted on the rear.
Let us know if you’re interested to see what HTC is working on for its 2018 flagship and if you would consider this device if it’s anything like the HTC U11 Plus.
