The Nokia 9 is set to be unveiled next month in China

0

We’ve been hearing more than a few rumors surrounding the Nokia 9, but HMD Global has been quiet about when the device would make an appearance. Now we have an idea as to when that unveiling will be taking place next month.

A new report claims that the Nokia 9 will be unveiled at an event on January 19th, when HMD Global is due to hold a new product launch event in China. However, the Nokia 9 will not be the only device announced at the event as the report claims that the Nokia 8 2018 will also be announced here.

Considering the fact that the product launch will be taking place in China, there are no mentions of a US launch as of yet. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if HMD Global made some type of announcement after the Nokia 9 has already been released to the Chinese market.

Rumored specs for the Nokia 9 include a 2:1 5.5-inch display while being powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Pricing for the device is expected to start at $560 for the base model and $635 for the 6GB/128GB variant.

The Nokia 9 will be the company’s first true flagship, although it will likely be behind the curve a bit if it doesn’t include Qualcomm’s 2018 flagship chipset. Nonetheless, stay tuned to learn more about the Nokia 9 as the information becomes available.
