Google Play Books has a new $5 promotional credit for certain users. These credits usually apply for those who have purchased a book from Google Play in the past. The current list of titles the credit can be used on contains some notable books that make this worth redeeming if it’s available to you.

- The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
- The Handmaid’s Tale
- Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
- American Gods by Neil Gaiman
I’ve only highlighted a small selection of the books that are eligible for the promotion. There are several more that are available and seem to mostly run along the lines of fantasy and non-fiction with a few romance novels thrown in here and there.
There are some rules for redeeming the credit if you find you’re eligible. The book must be on the list and be priced above $5.01. The credit will be applied at checkout and will be available until September 30th.
