Samsung’s next smartwatch is the fitness minded Gear Sport

Last week, we wrote about Samsung’s next wearable. According to information that Samsung sent out to SmartLab members, the device is a hybrid between the Gear S3 and Gear Fit 2. We now have a little more information about this device.

An FCC filing from Samsung shows off a new device called the Samsung Gear Sport. Unlike Fit devices, this is a round device, more like the Gear watches. But the Sport moniker suggests that this will be a device with fitness in mind. It will have Bluetooth and WiFi, but not much else is known.

A fitness watch can bridge the gap between people that don’t want to decide between a smartwatch and a fitness tracker. The advantage of a device like the Gear Sport is you can wear it for more than just running. Are you interested in the Samsung Gear Sport?
