The AT&T-exclusive Galaxy S Active series has been a popular phone series for those who want to experience everything new Samsung has to offer in a more rugged phone body. The Active series usually launches a few months after the standard Galaxy series of phones, so you would expect to see the phone has passed through the FCC at least. Unfortunately, that’s not the case as Samsung seems to be taking their time with this one.
While we don’t know when it’s coming, we do know that it is coming, since the phone has appeared on Geekbench. That doesn’t give us any idea what the phone looks like, but given the differences between the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Active pictured above, you can bet it’ll be bulkier and probably camo colored.
The phone is expected to feature a 5.8″ screen with a 1440 x 2960 resolution, at least 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Neither Samsung nor AT&T have commented on the release date for the phone, so if you’re waiting for the Galaxy Active series, this is just a teaser for now. Do you prefer the Active series over the standard Galaxy series? Let us know in the comments.
