If you peek your head outside the Android world, the iPhone 8 is leaking left and right. Apple isn’t scheduled to show off the next iPhone until this fall, but we’ve seen countless photos and renders of the device. The latest is a batch of schematics that reveal the exact (rumored) dimensions. Naturally, we’ve compared it to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
As you can see in the image above, the two devices are pretty similar in size. The Galaxy S8 is taller and thicker, but the iPhone is wider. That could make the Galaxy S8 more comfortable to hold. The schematics do not include screen dimensions, but the iPhone is rumored to have small bezels like the Galaxy S8.
We can also compare the size of the iPhone 7s Plus (not sure why it isn’t called iPhone 8 Plus) and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The size of these two phones are even closer. Galaxy S8+ is slightly taller and the iPhone is wider. We don’t know the thickness of the 7s Plus, but we imagine it’s thinner than the S8+.
There was a time when Samsung phones were much larger than iPhones, but that time has passed. Now the iPhone is the size of a real smartphone. If only it had real smartphone features.
