Alright, so there’s no doubt in my mind that we are at most 2 or 3 weeks away from the launch of the OnePlus 5, but there is a lot of speculation still out there regarding the device. OnePlus has been doing a great job at stirring the pot to keep everyone excited about the device, now that the LG G6 and Galaxy S8 lineup have both been launched.
However, after re-reading Phandroid’s rumor roundup for the device, this left me wondering how much the OnePlus 5 would be priced at. I mean, I know that OnePlus has been doing a great job at offering flagship-level devices at prices that Samsung and LG would never approach for a similar device, but something has to give at some point.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what we are expecting to see spec-wise for the OnePlus 5:
- 5.5-inch Full HD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
- 6GB OR 8GB of RAM
- 64GB/128GB Storage
- 16MP Front Facing Camera
- 23MP Rear-Facing Camera
- 3,750mAh Battery
- Android 7.1.1 Nougat w/OxygenOS
- USB Type-C charging port with Dash Charge
The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T saw a price hike up to around $399 and $439 (respectively), and if these latest rumors are to be believed, you would think that the OnePlus 5 would be priced even higher. So here’s where we want your opinion. At what price point would you look at the latest OnePlus device and turn the other cheek?
