The Honor Band A2 features a screen and heart rate sensor for just $30

Earlier today at an event in China where the Honor 6A was unveiled, Honor took the wraps off of its latest fitness tracker, the Honor Band A2. However, what we’re looking at here is a huge improvement over its predecessor and looks as though it could put the competition on notice.

The three biggest additions to the Band A2 are the inclusion of a 0.96-inch OLED display, a built-in heart rate sensor, and IP67 water and dust certification. The Band A2 will give users the ability to track their steps, sleep, and exercises, while also giving users a buzz when they’ve been sitting around for too long.

As for notifications, the new OLED display will give you a glimpse at what text messages or phone calls are coming in. From there, you can either dismiss or mute the notification and deal with them at a later time.

Finally, the battery life for the Band A2 seems to be pretty impressive, as it includes a 95mAh battery with an advertised battery life of 9 days. Honor is also stating that the Band A2’s battery will be able to last for up to 18 days in standby.

The Honor Band A2 will go on sale starting on June 9th in China for just $30 and comes in Black, Green, White, and Red. Let us know what you think about the Band A2 and if you would be interested in picking one up for yourself if it’s made available here in the States.
