Verizon cancels the LG Watch Sport

If you’ve been waiting all this time for the LG Watch Sport to start shipping from Verizon, it’s time to start looking at alternative options. The smartwatch has been canceled, Droid-Life reports.

Folks who pre-ordered the smartwatch have received emails notifying them of its cancellation, and Verizon is even offering those customers $100 off any of their other connected smartwatches for the trouble.

We’re not sure what the reason for the long delays and cancellation was. It isn’t just Verizon suffering these days, with Google also failing to replenish stock regularly. AT&T is still offering it, so there’s that, at least.

As for what you should look to spend that credit on? Well, if you wanted it for that sporty look, your best bet is the Moto 360 Sport You won’t find any other sporty options with Android Wear right now, unfortunately, but if you don’t have have your heart set on Android Wear we’ll suggest taking a look at the Samsung Gear S2.  Other Android Wear options include the 2nd Gen Moto 360 or the LG Watch Urbane LTE. Take a gander at Verizon’s full selection of wearables right here.
