Verizon really wants to make sure you get the phone you want for the holidays this year, as they’re offering new phones at $0 upfront, depending on the trade-in you bring in. The tiers are a little tricky to understand too, since not all trade-in devices will net you a zero-cost upfront device.
So here’s how it works. Trade-in any iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, LG G5, or Moto Droid Turbo 2 and you’ll pay $0 down for your new flagship phone. While the Pixel XL and LG V20 are also available, you’ll need to trade in a high-end phone to receive those. Here’s a quick peek at how Verizon is breaking down the deal.
Of course, if none of those phones tickle your fancy or you’d rather have a Pixel XL or the LG V20, you’ll need to trade in a higher-tier phone to receive that $0 down bill credit for the new device. For older iPhone trades, you’ll only be able to upgrade to the most recent iPhone instead of switching for an Android device.
If the deal isn’t sweet enough after that, Verizon is also offering up to $800 on a Visa Gift Card if you switch from another carrier and bring over four lines to Verizon. For those only bringing one line and porting their number, you can get up to $200 on a Visa gift card. Not a bad deal for those looking to get into a new phone before the year ends.
