Fitness trackers are picking up steam in the US as we continue to see new wearables released on a regular basis. Huawei recently released the Fit which looks to take over the fitness tracking space while offering excellent battery life. However, a new player is entering the US market from a brand that is fairly unknown.
The Amazfit PACE is manufactured by Huami, who also manufactures the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, and looks to provide you with a great wearable experience. Unlike the Huawei Fit, the PACE features a color display, allowing you get some visual stimulation during your workouts.
The PACE also features a 1.34-inch round display, a 1.2GHz processor, and 512MB of RAM. Where the fun comes in is in terms of the storage and other capabilities of the upcoming wearable. The PACE includes 4GB of storage which allows you to load up some music and pair your Bluetooth headphones before you go out for a workout.
Also unlike the Huawei Fit, the PACE includes built-in GPS, which will allow you to leave your smartphone at home and still be able to keep detailed records of your runs. According to Amazfit, the PACE will also be rated at IP67 and will include a built-in heart rate monitor and will last up to 11 days on just one charge. Unfortunately, the PACE will not be running Android Wear, instead opting for its own proprietary OS, but you will still be able to receive various notifications including weather, email, text messages, and more.
To celebrate Black Friday, the company has decided to launch the new smartwatch today for an introductory price of $129. The PACE will be priced at $129 until Cyber Monday. After Cyber Monday, the price of the PACE will be raised to its retail price of $159 and will be made available on Amazon. In the meantime, you can hit the link below and grab the Amazfit PACE today.
