T-Mobile kicks off holiday shopping season with Magenta Friday

Black Friday? Screw Black Friday. T-Mobile is doing Magenta Friday. Because they’re cool.

Magenta Friday starts this Friday, November 18th, and on that day you’ll be able to get up to additional lines for free. For example, an incoming family of four will pay as if they’re only getting 2 lines. An existing family of 4 could add 2 additional lines for free, too. Those lines can be smartphones or tablets, too.

The deal will last through November 20th, giving you just 3 days to take advantage. Of course, T-Mobile isn’t totally ditching Black Friday, either. The company will have a number of great deals on tap between November 24th and November 27th:

  • For that Person Suffering from #PhoneShame
    • Upgrade them to a FREE Samsung Galaxy S7 after 24 monthly bill credits when you trade in a Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 or other device.
  • For the Techie that Needs the Latest in VR
    • Get a FREE Gear VR and $50 Oculus app store gift card when you get a Samsung Galaxy S7 (including the free one above) or Galaxy S7 edge.
  • For the Parents Who Need a Moment’s Peace
    • Get a FREE Samsung Tab E or LG Gpad X after 24 monthly bill credits with a T-Mobile ONE tablet plan. You pay only the sales tax!
  • For the Audiophile / Headbanger
    • Get $70 off the UE BOOM 2 wireless speaker (now just $129.99)
    • Get $30 off the LG Tone Pro 760 Bluetooth headset (now just $39.99)
  • For Any & Everyone
    • Get $50 (>80%!) off the mophie Powerstation Mini (now just $9.99)

We wish the smartphone deals were a bit more varied, but these are great deals otherwise. Be sure to wake up bright and early on the aforementioned days if you want to take advantage.
