Samsung has started working on the Android Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge

0

Last week, Samsung started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to users of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and now the company is setting its sights on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The company has started working on the Android Nougat update for the 2015 flagship devices.

According to SamMobile, the initial build number is “XXS5DPK7” but this won’t be the final number once the build has been completed. Also, since the development of the update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has just started, it’s extremely unlikely that we’ll see the update begin rolling out before the end of 2016.

It’s also unknown whether Samsung will remove any of the added features from its new Grace UX which is found with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Hopefully, there is hope that Samsung will bring Grace UX to the 2015 flagships for the sake of consistency across the “Galaxy” brand.
