Huawei has unveiled its latest fitness tracker, known as the Huawei Fit. The company has already released a similar version in other parts of the world under the Huawei S1 moniker, but here on the stateside, it will be known as the Fit.
Ahead of the event, there were a few leaks which pretty much showed Huawei’s hand in regards to this new fitness tracker. With Huawei working on several wearables over the past few years, the company is ready to give everyone another option.
Enter the Huawei Fit.

The Huawei Fit is the successor to the TalkBand B2 for Huawei, and can also be seen as the little brother to the Huawei Watch. Instead of opting to go overboard with features that may never get used, as was seen with the TalkBand B2, Huawei decided to release a fitness tracker that is good for everyone.
Unlike other fitness trackers, the Fit doesn’t include overkill features such as storage for music or a colorful display. Huawei keeps things simple while offering enough in terms of the included sensors and built-in software functionality to keep everyone excited.
The Fit features a battery life that has impressed us more and more by the day, and that’s in large part due to the e-ink display that can be found on the wearable. The Fit also comes in handy regarding the amount of different sensors that can be found. The wearable not only keeps track of how many steps you’ve taken in a day, but also includes a heart rate monitor, and a Capacitive Sensor. The second sensor keeps track to tell when you’re actually wearing the Fit, so that it can put itself into a sleep mode if not in use.

Our first impressions of the Fit are mostly positive but we’ll be sure to keep everyone in the loop as to how the Fit fares over time. Now that the Fit has been made official, you will be able to purchase the new wearable for $129 from Huawei, with plans to open sales at Best Buy later this month.
