Build.prop from Nexus Sailfish ROM dump reveals details regarding phone’s processor and display

0

Evan Blass has already shared quite a few details regarding the upcoming Nexus smartphones, but he’s now managed to get his hands on a ROM dump from the Nexus Sailfish. The full dump has not been shared, but Evan has posted an image of the phone’s build.prop which does give some visibility into the components which are used in the phone. The most obvious item to stand out if the reference to the phone’s MSM8996 processor – aka the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. While it’s been speculated that the two new Nexus phones could feature the new Snapdragon 821 SoC, that doesn’t seem to be the case in this particular circumstance.

The other reference which caught our attention is the reference to an LCD pixel density of 420. It’s not a perfect match, but it aligns well with previous reports that claimed the Nexus Sailfish would be equipped with a 5-inch, 1080p display.

Would a Snapdragongong 820 and 1080p display keep you from buying or even recommending the Nexus Sailfish?
