ZTE ZMax Pro press

Rumors that ZTE would be launching a followup to their affordably priced ZMax line have finally come to fruition. The company announced today that they’ll be bringing the upcoming ZTE ZMax Pro to MetroPCS on August 1st at the rock bottom low price of just $100. While normally you’d expect some pretty abysmal hardware, the ZTE ZMax Pro is jam packed with specs you’d find in handsets 3 times the price. Here’s what you get:

ZTE ZMax Pro $100

  • 6-inch 1080p display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB internal storage w/ micro SD card slot
  • Fingerprint sensor (rear facing)
  • 13MP / 5MP cameras
  • USB Type C
  • 3,400mAh battery
  • Quick Charging technology
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow

I think we can all agree, that’s one incredible price for the hardware being offered. Of course, this remains a MetroPCS exclusive — which operates on T-Mobile towers — but gives anyone looking to save a few bucks on an upgrade (or perhaps just new smartphone buyers) a compelling reason to upgrade or make the switch.

ZTE will also be throwing in a stylish leather wallet case to the first 5,000 people who pre-order the phone by July 31st here.
