Samsung Galaxy Note 7 production to kick off in July

0

With the early launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge having such a positive impact on sales, it looks like Samsung wants to get the Galaxy Note 7 (aka the Samsung Galaxy Note 6) into the hands of eager customers as soon as possible. The latest rumor on the matter claims that Samsung is already ordering components for the new device from its suppliers and will start mass production of the Note 7 in July. The report claims that Samsung is planning a 5 million unit run which will spam July and August, splitting production evenly between the two months. This indicates that Samsung is expecting the Galaxy Note 7 to sell better than last year’s Note 5 since Samsung took three months to hit the 5 million production mark for that phone.

Based on a leaked image, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be unveiled at an Unpacked event in New York on August 2. But since Samsung has not made any official statement yet, the launch date and location could change between now and then.
