Verizon’s Galaxy S5 gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow

0

Samsung Galaxy S5 owners on Verizon have reason to get excited today: the upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is finally here! The update will show up as version MMB29M.G900VVRU2DPD1.

Alongside all your typical Marshmallow features (Doze Mode, Now on Tap, App Permissions, etc.), you’re getting WiFi calling, as well as a new Ultra-High-Quality Audio enhancement that will improve the sound of any audio you play. Cool stuff.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the upgrade right now. We imagine a rollout will begin as soon as today, though knowing Verizon it may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks before you’ll see it. Just keep checking for it by heading to the Settings menu on your phone.
