Waze has started to become known for more than just its excellent navigation assistance. In addition to the awesome features that are packed into the application, Waze also has been adding various recognizable voices to guide you through your travels. The most recent addition was the amazing voice of Morgan Freeman to celebrate the release of movie title “London Has Fallen.”
With the NBA Playoffs right around the corner, Waze has added another familiar voice to the mix — Shaq. That’s right, the big man of the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers can now help you travel from point A to point B and will include some famous catch phrases along the way.
“It doesn’t get much bigger than this. To help you get excited for the 2016 NBA playoffs, we’ve got a new voice on Waze that’s sure to be a slam dunk. Wazers and NBA fans, get ready for Shaquille O’Neal. The former NBA all-star and current TNT analyst on Inside the NBA will help you avoid traffic with some epic lines like, “Don’t cause a Shaqcident” and “Police reported ahead. Don’t be Shaqtin a fool!” You’re pretty much guaranteed a Shaqtastic ride.”
The update is available now, but it’s not known how long Shaq will be along for the ride. It’s safe to assume that this option will be available throughout the NBA Playoffs which will be ending in early June after the NBA Finals are complete.
If you want to take advantage of Shaq’s services, here are the steps you need to take:
- Open Waze and navigate to the Menu
- Settings
- Sound
- Voice Language
- Select Shaquille O’Neal
