The LG G5 on T-Mobile is about to be joined by another one of its older siblings in the Marshmallow winner’s circle. T-Mobile product manager Des Smith revealed on Twitter today that the the LG V10 — easily one of the best Android handsets LG’s ever made — will receive its update to Marshmallow starting next week.
There was no specific date given for the rollout, but we’ll be keeping an eye out. What’s odd is T-Mobile’s dedicated Software Updates page hasn’t even been updated, still showing the first phase of “Manufacturer development” for the V10 (it should already be at “T-Mobile testing”), but I digress…
Once the update concludes, LG’s most recent flagship lineup on T-Mobile will have been updated to the latest public Android release. The LG G4 was updated to Marshmallow back in early February and although we’re sure nobody is keeping track, it’s pretty impressive given Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users are still patiently waiting for Marshmallow to rollout from the carrier.
